Local implementation of pan-European AD migration
Our consultants assisted Belgian and local IT department of a large international food retailer with a pan-European Windows AD migration project. We were involved in design and project management of local implementation from a local WinNT domain to a pan-European AD single forest domain. We were responsible for the design, automation and testing of local PC & laptop migration.
We performed the installation of local Windows serves and MS inter-domain bridge. We prepared a lab environment and a procedure to test all software applications and identify issues prior to migration. We created and tested Altiris jobs to migrate 800 PCs & laptops from old to new domain.
Finally, we delivered appropriate documentation the local IT department for PC migration. The migration was carried by local IT department with outmost success and minimal helpdesk calls from end-users.
